Origami, Imagiro Boats. Inquiring Minds want to know.

 TYD#229 and, 239

- There was a time when individual people were building their own boats.
Not so much now. The new generation is not as enthusiastic about getting their hands dirty; they lack motivation, and with years of useless University studies, they are far from being ready to face life.

- Maybe, with changes in the offing, the new orientation from working behind a cubicle to getting a trade job, welding, electrical, or handyman work, is the future. Of course, the building of a boat embodies all kinds of talents.

As you can see, it can be built anywhere.

- I told the story before, but it is enlightening to have a repeat.
- A couple of years ago, there was a delegation of the top executives of Feadship from the Netherlands.

- The object was the relaunch, after an intensive refit of one of their classics.
- I was sitting for dinner with them at the NewYork Yacht Club. Their organization, the builder of incredible mega yachts, is one of the best in the world on all levels, from design to construction and finish. Very few shipyards have achieved their success. When asked about how they manage to have so many diversified workers to build those incredible yachts, they mentioned it was not the crew at the yard, but at the office. With a strong workforce educated in trade schools, a tradition that is encouraged, the difficulty is finding people to work on the computers to design the ships with all their complexity; they would rather work on the floor.

Unfolded.

- Let's cut to the chase.

- After this preamble, I want to light the fire to build boats. Whether for amateurs or professionals, this form of construction has merits. If I present a substantial vessel to be built with reasonable Plans and material costs, customers may come.
- So, for a limited time, I propose the following.

TYD#229 Trunk cabin, single or twin keels.           or           TYD#239. Pilothouse single or twin keels
