The Forgotten CLASS,

 CLASS950.

With the proliferation of the various classes: Mini Transat, Class 40; IMOCA Class, and many others, 

One has not caught on, the Class950.

-And this is my latest.

developments, as I observed the evolution of the Class from 2020 to 2024.

Tanton Yacht Design is 52 years old!

 

Very hard to believe.

- From being 27 years old then to now, and into the future. After my first adventures in Designing Yachts with Illingworth and Associates in England, then with Andre Mauric in France, and finally with Dick Carter in the USA, I bit the bullet and established my practice in Newport, R.I. in 1974.

Marc Lombard.

- C'est avec tristesse que J'ai appris la mort de Marc Lombard.

- Lombard Yacht Design a été depuis 1982 une force dans le petit monde des architectes dessinant 

essentiellement pour la Plaisance.

- J'ai eu le plaisir de le rencontrer en Belgique a l'époque de la construction de Côte d'Or pour Eric 

Tabarly, et de mon propre Desperado par le chantier Amtec. Lui-même ayant un catamaran de 40' en 

lancement.

-Plus tard, j'ai pris connaissance d'un grand  bateau de charter base sur la coque de vendredi 13 utilisée 

comme moule.

- Mais aussi avec la gentillesse de me fournir quelques plans de détails d'un Catamaran Privilege, 

lequel je devais rallonger d'une manière importante.
